The Village of Valparaiso Board of Trustees consists of 5 members, who are elected for a term of four years. The Chairman is appointed each year by the Board of Trustees.
The Village Board establishes Village policy, enacts ordinances, authorizes budgetary appropriations, and appoints the Village Clerk/Treasurer and various boards.

The Board of Trustees for the Village of Valparaiso meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM. The meeting location is posted on the current Agenda.
The public is invited to attend meetings to stay informed and involved in local government. If you have a specific topic item you would like the Village Board to discuss, submit a Request for Future Agenda Items or use the suggestion box at the Post Office. Requests must be submitted by 5:00 PM prior to the meeting.
